Question 9 — Repeal of Chapter 135
On November 3, 2026, Massachusetts voters will decide Question 9, a referendum on the 2024 firearms law known as Chapter 135. A No vote would repeal the law, while a Yes vote would keep it in place. The law made numerous changes to Massachusetts firearms regulations, including provisions concerning licensing, firearms classifications, unfinished frames and receivers, carrying and transportation, and other requirements.
